Facial PRP Rejuvenation.

Refresh and renew your face.

Facial PRP Rejuvenation is a signature 12-week program that combines at home skin care therapy pre- and post- three (3) separate PRP microneedling procedures 4-weeks apart. The combination of utilizing our high quality, medical-grade pre-procedure skin care 7-14 days prior to each PRP microneedling procedure prepares and stimulates your skin to be in a healthier state for the procedure to better supports the renewal process.  Our post-care regenerating skin care products help cleanse, regenerate, and decrease healing time to improve the healing process and achieve optimal results.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also known as medical skin needling or micro-needling, is a minimally-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment designed to stimulate the body’s natural collagen production by generating a wound healing response and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles as well as scars on the face and body.  When combined with Platelet-Rich Plasma, or PRP, your body’s own special “ growth factors,” or proteins, are utilized in the procedure to that help stimulate new, healthy cell production and promote healing.

Facial PRP Rejuvenation Details.

What is the Facial PRP Rejuvenation program?

The Facial PRP Rejuvenation Program is a 12-week program overseen by Restore that combines:

  • Pre-procedure skin care preparation (at home)
  • Three (3) facial microneedling procedures that utilize PRP (platelet-rich plasma) as a base on the skin (in clinic)
  • Post-procedure skin care products that promote healing and rejuvenation (at home)

The $1,500 program includes the three procedures and all take-home pre- and post- skin care products.

What is Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy?

Platelet rich plasma, commonly referred to as “PRP’, is a concentration of platelets that come from your body’s blood serum.  These platelets are rich in growth and healing factors that stimulate cell turnover (healing) and tissue restoration.  When applied to the skin, PRP helps our skin function optimally, increasing everything from collagen to elastin, while also bringing antioxidant and hydrating properties

What is microneedling?

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT), also called microneedling, is a treatment that uses tiny needles to create micro channels, or tiny holes, in the skin to stimulate your skin’s natural ability to heal itself and produce collagen and elastin, resulting in firmer skin, less visible pores, less discoloration, and a healthier and more youthful appearance

What skin care products are used pre- and post- treatment?

The Facial PRP Rejuvenation Program utilizes skin care products from ALASTIN.  These products are formulated with TriHex Technology, a proprietary blend of active peptides and botanicals specifically engineered to work with the skin to clear out old collagen and elastin proteins that have been damaged by sun exposure and aging while supporting the skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen and elastin.

ALASTIN’s peptide technology helps skin:

  • Remove – Collagen and elastin break down and clump together due to photodamage and aging, which can slow down the production of new, healthy collagen and elastin in the deepdermal structure of the skin.
  • Rebuild – Promotes healthy collagen and elastin to support visible changes at the surface level that restore the optimal skin environment and create room for new, healthy collagen and elastin by removing the damaged fragments.
  • Replenish – New, healthy collagen and elastin forms and clear the damaged fragments to maintain healthy skin from the inside out on an ongoing basis.

What is the specific pre-procedure skin preparation?

Using ALASTIN to prepare and stimulate your skin 7–14 days prior to the Facial PRP Rejuvenation procedures achieves the most optimal results by putting your skin in a healthier state that supports the renewal process, new collagen and elastin stimulation. It will also decrease healing time and improve the healing process by reducing redness and inflammation, soothing and calming your skin.

Daily Product Usage for 24 hrs After Procedure & Beyond:

You may notice a slight stinging or tingling when applying the Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer post procedure. This subsides within a few minutes and will completely after the skin returns to its normal state. Both Nectar and Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer can be applied as often as needed/desired. The Hydratint Pro Mineral SPF 36 tinted physical sunscreen is great post procedure to cover up uneven skin tone but will accentuate peeling while skin is flaking. Some patients prefer to alternate sunscreens during healing then eventually transition to Hydratint solely after day 3 or 4.

You may begin adding in other products one week post treatment such as Vit A (Retinol, Retin-A, etc), glycolic, salicylic acid, exfoliators, etc, but a spot test is recommended first to assess any sensitivity. If stinging, burning or irritation occurs wait 48 hours and repeat. Please call us with any questions in regards to post-care. We will transition you to maintenance products at the appropriate time to maintain and continue to build upon your treatment results.

How long is each procedure?

Each PRP microneedling session is approximately 1 hour.  Your Restore practitioner will schedule your three (3) PRP microneedling sessions within 4-weeks of each other.

What are the steps to a PRP procedure?

In a typical PRP procedure:

  1. A healthcare professional will draw a sample of your blood. The amount of the sample depends on where the PRP will be injected.
  2. The blood is placed into a centrifuge to “spin the blood” and cause the blood components to separate.  The separation process takes about 15 minutes.
  3. A technologist takes the separated plasma and prepares it for injection into the affected area.
  4. Your doctor will then apply the PRP onto the face using microneedling.

When will I see results and what is the recovery time?

The skin will be pink or red in appearance for 24-48 hours, much like a sunburn with some minor bleeding and very occasionally some mild bruising. The skin may also feel warm, tight and itchy for a short while. Generally the inflammatory reaction of the skin is short and fades significantly after a couple of days. Patients with a more sensitive skin type or older patients may take longer to fully recover.

Usage of the ALASTIN products that come with your Facial PRP Rejuvenation Program, both pre-procedure and post-procedure, help increase the healing process by reducing redness and inflammation, creating soothing and calming your skin.

What are the health risks?

PRP is autologous, which means it contains substances that come directly from your own body. This reduces the risks for an allergic reaction that can occur from injecting other medications, such as cortisone or hyaluronic acid. However, there are risks from the injection itself, including:

  • infection
  • nerve injuries
  • pain at the injection site
  • tissue damage

You should discuss these potential risks with your doctor, as well as the steps your doctor will take to minimize these risks.
